The online web service of Seedbase is very well secured. Security in this case applies to both the data center, data connection, data management and the application itself. Continuous checks further maximises all these aspects of security.

Data center

Seedbase has a server facility at one of the most modern data centers in the Netherlands at its disposal. The data center is built conforming to the strict American regulations and is ISO certified. Security of the data center consists of visible and invisible physical measures and provisions that guarantee untroubled service.

Connection

Whenever you open up Seedbase through your browser, the connection is encrypted with a 128bit key. Since Seedbase is a business application, like internet banking, all communication is always through SSL. Your data is protected behind several firewalls. All traffic is analysed; whenever the traffic deviates from the permitted pattern it will instantly be cut off.

Data Storage

Your data is backed up 5 times a day. You are also able to backup your data personally to an Excel or SQL file. In case of theft, loss of your laptop of USB stick, or a damaged computer, your data will not be lost. You are working online, after all.

Application

Seedbase has a function that will log you off automatically if you have been inactive for a certain amount of time.
So called cookies with browser and user specific information are not stored on your computer, but in the database.
In case of incidents regarding the software, the problem will be fixed quickly: updates are made at the server, never locally.
A built in option can be used to periodically request users to change their passwords.
